Well, we are finally settled enough to begin working on the little man's room. We've decided to decorate simply since he's not going to grow up in this room, but follow a "nautical" theme. It's no secret that I looooove all things stripes, water or boating related and the colors navy & brown. We won't go overboard (pun intended) with sailboats or anything of the like, but instead we're going to throw our own personal twist on it: silly sea monsters, hand-drawn by the dad-to-be. More on that later, but I have to share the progress we've made....which isn't much but it's a big step in the right direction!
1. The crib is assembled!
2. Our first & potentially main piece of decor has been found & secured by one of my favorites, Kelly! She sent me a Craigslist listing Sunday for an old but beautiful mirror (in Chicago!) in the shape of a steering wheel. We pulled the trigger immediately and she picked it up hours later. We are stoked! What a great auntie she is!! Thanks again Kel!
