It's hard to believe that it's only been two months since this little man made his debut, but that's probably because we've been awake for the majority of it :)
We've hit some pretty big milestones these first two months, the biggest being TWO teeth! As you can imagine, Liam has been pretty uncomfortable the past week or so as the teeth made their way in, but we seem to be nearing the end of the discomfort (knock on wood). Two months is fairly early to cut teeth, but Tom was an early teether and it's hereditary so we knew there was a chance. During fussy times, he's most comforted by Tom, who walks him around the house and gently rubs his gums.
You might also be thinking to yourself "man, Liam really packed on the pounds over the last month." NOPE, he's just wearing a cloth diaper that is HUGE on him. He's still a string bean, though he is starting to fill out just a tad. More on cloth diapers later...
He's also become more aware of his surroundings, and clearly recognizes us - especially when we leave the room. When strangers hold him, he seems to know that they are new. He gives biiiiiiig open mouth smiles more and more, and seems to be well on his way to laughing.
Besides the big smiles, the funniest new trick we've taught him is to stick out his tongue at us if we stick our tongue out at him first (we laugh now, but it will probably come back to bite us). If he's in the right mood, he'll play back and forth and get a big kick out of it. Too stinking' cute!
